Why I Write
I have loved books for as long as I can remember.
Books have helped me understand people whose lives looked nothing like mine.
Writing has helped me understand my own.
That belief has shaped everything I've done—as a teacher, an editor, mentor, and writer.
Today, that belief shapes every project I take on.
Whether I'm helping a student write a personal statement,
working with a business to clarify its message,
or writing my own memoir, I'm always asking the same question:
What happens when we find the words that are true to who we are?
I believe reading and writing change people.
Changed people change families, communities, and ultimately, the world around them.
It's why I write.
It's why I help others find their own words.

Who I Am
Some of my earliest memories are of getting lost in books.
Long before I became a journalist, teacher, editor, or writer, I was simply a reader—curious about people, fascinated by stories, and always wondering what made us who we are.
I was often found hiding somewhere, buried in a book. Or filling notebooks with quotes that inspired me and collecting words that made me think.
That curiosity eventually became a career helping students, writers, and organizations discover words that reflect who they truly are.
Today, you'll still find me with a pen in hand, filling notebooks with ideas and yearning to learn.
Much of that writing now finds its way into two deeply personal projects: a memoir about my childhood and Rolling with Ru, a series inspired by a journey with my beloved Lab, Ruby.
Every story reminds me that when we're willing to tell the truth—about who we are, where we've been, and what we've learned—we make it a little easier for someone else to do the same.
And that's why I love helping others discover the stories only they can tell.
Working With Me
I offer writing and narrative support across academic, professional, and brand contexts, always grounded in clarity, intention, and voice. Each engagement is shaped around your goals and the story you want your writing to tell.
Consider this a starting point — together, we’ll determine the approach that best fits you.
Students
Identity-centered support for academic writing and expression.
I work with students to clarify their ideas, strengthen their written voice, and approach academic work with confidence.
Whether shaping a personal narrative, refining academic writing, or developing effective study and organizational strategies, our work is grounded in who the student is and how they learn best.
Small Businesses
Writing that reflects who you are — and connects with the people you serve.
I work with small businesses and organizations to clarify their voice and strengthen how they communicate.
From website copy and brand messaging to professional documents and newsletters, the focus is on writing that feels authentic, intentional, and aligned with your identity — not generic or overproduced.
Creatives
Thoughtful writing and editing support for work that matters.
I work with individuals and creatives on projects that are personal, reflective, and often in progress.
From personal essays and creative nonfiction to manuscript and book editing, our work focuses on clarity, structure, and voice — helping your writing stay true to who you are while becoming stronger on the page.
Voices of Impact
A few words from people I've had the privilege of working with.
“Greer saw potential in me long before I saw it in myself. She pushed me to explore life, supported my ideas, and gently nudged me when I needed direction.”
Brandon Lujan
Strength & Conditioning Coach | Doctor of Physical Therapy Candidate
"Greer quickly grasped my ideas and was able to conceptualize the visuals I needed and support me in outlining my next steps. She is always timely in her responses and has consistently met the timelines we created for our work together."
Sarah Foster
Owner, Grace Yourself
“Greer was seen as a trusted adult, a respected friend, a mentor, a positive influence and someone who truly cared about students. She brought a positive, optimistic energy that created a productive learning environment where students were eager to learn. The impact she has had on me as well as others is significant.”
